Playing "Doom comes to Dustpawn" the players created a 30 feet Pit where one of the Bullfrogs (CR5 Giant Bullfrogs) fell.
I felt that the Jumping rules as they are did not take into account the nature of a giant frog. Looking at the rules the maximum height with a +14 to jumping that they would have been able to jump was 8 feet (with a 18 dice roll). A Large size frog! Is more like a disabled giant frog.
I felt that 3 times its size was not a unreasonable height for a frog, so to give some randomness to the jump, I decided to make it a 50% chance.
There was a lot of discussion as we usually try to play strictly by the rules but in this situation I just thought that the rules made no sense.
But I might have been wrong and I would appreciate other GMs opinion. How would you have managed it?
Thank you!

Bullfrogs are good at long jumps, it's tree frogs that are good at high jumps. I might waive the penalty for standing jumps and use the 3.5 rules for vertical reach to determine if they can reach the ledge. 14ft. up on an average roll feels about right for how high a ledge a bullfrog could reach - that's easily the height of most single story buildings.
