Justicar ability Sure Shot and firearms?

Advice

I have a paladin player using the Holy Gun archetype. He has also chosen to take the Justicar prestige class. He wants to apply the Sure Shot ability that states it is for crossbows to firearms, and has asked if I would allow that. I'm torn, because I like his character concept and don't want to squash it, but don't want him to become OP.

What are your thoughts or experiences in this area?

So our paladin/justicar gets to add the cha mod to their to hit 2 or 3 times a day (class level = justicar level), and 2 or 3 to the damage. It is a nice bonus, but not overwhelming.

I would be prone to giving it to them as long as they aren't massively OP compared to the rest of the group. If they are, then no. If its close and your still concerned, charge him a feat to allow it to apply to his guns. Or throw a restriction on there to where he can't stack this with Smite.
