Ipmeek is startled as Chrysa seems to just vanish from view. "Wait, Chrysa?" Realizing that she must have just used some magic to get herself in, tiny Ipmeek decides to make his own way, finding the nearest arrow slit to squeeze through. Double move.

Vincent vanishes beneath the door. Chrysa hustles forward, dragging the blind Sophiel along and just reaches the door as Ipmeek slips through a window slit above!

Vincent:
You find yourself on the inside of a short hall. Opposite you are a line of murder holes in the wall, and you can see movement from beyond before the blade of a small halberd pokes through at you, but it passes right through you.

You are still in gaseous form, as it is a standard action to shift that I can tell.

Ipmeek:
You find yourself in a narrow corridor with murder holes and arrow slits. You pop in between two more of the grey skinned humanoids, who immediately shift from crossbows to melee weaponry!

One thrusts a halberd at you while a much stronger one swings a club at you twice, hitting you in the head once!

You filter through the slats, freaking the creatures out quite well as you take shape in the room with them. However, seeing just a child before them bolsters their resolve soon enough. The closest one slashes his halberd at you but fails to connect.

Ipmeek:
Both take swings at you, the club crunching into your back once again as you put distance between you and them. The bomb goes off in the center ones face, but he brushes the smoke away, unaffected. He calls out something in his language and the other two in the hall rush forward at you as he retreats down the hall.

The nearest one to you slashes at you again, but misses.

Sophiel opens the door and finds Chrysa a moment later. The feline begrudgingly rises and darts over to Sophiel’s heel.

Wouldn't be a good idea for me to summon uncontrolled monkeys, I realize, in an area where the leopard and Sootscale would be.

I mentioned in Discord--last round's stink bomb had a chance of nauseating all three spriggans--forgot to mention that in my last post But it doesn't seem to matter that much--let the bombing resume!

Sootscale continues to try and blow up the nearest spriggan! 5-foot step, full attack with sand bombs.

Also, as a point of order Thron, if these are actually spriggan, why doesn't fey bane work on them? I don't understand. :O


Sophiel: they aren’t of the Fey subtype. They are a type of gnome.

Vincent’s fire shoots towards the line of spriggan. The first gasps and ducks most of the flame, but the second did not see anything coming and catches the blast with wide eyed surprise! The third one seemed to use his associate in front of him as a meat shield against most of the flame.

The one nearest him slashes at Vincent again, but still cannot land a strike in the nimble child.

Chrysa learns that the far door is similarly barred (Should have mentioned that to Vincent: he sees a duplicate bar across the door he is beside.)

The summoned Jaguar runs up to the arrow slits and snarls at the far on the far side.

Ipmeek:
A double move brings you down the stairs and into a small hallway that curves, with several doors. However, the sound of fighting makes it clear which way the others are, so I placed you beside that door. Your next post does not need a spoiler as if that door is opened you will be with the others again.

Vincent opens the door, easily avoiding the sloppy attack of the smoldering spriggan before him. A moment later, one of Chrysas blades slides through the arrow slit and into the thing’s chest, dropping it to the floor, incapacitated but conscious. Which does not bode well for it considering it is immediately set upon by the jaguar that bolts into the room and lands on top of it, ripping its throat out a moment later!

The badly burned spriggan slashes out in fear at the cat, and manages a lucky hit that opens a long cut along the feline’s side!

Damage: 1d8 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7

Vincent kneels down and fastens his mouth over the large wound in the fallen spriggan’ s neck, drinking up it’s blood as he feels the last beats of its heart.

The entangled spriggan struggles to escape, but cannot slip free.

This bunkhouse holds bunks for a dozen individuals and has hooks on the wall for their clothing and equipment.

This chamber contains a bed, a chest of drawers, and a sparring dummy, and seems to have been searched thoroughly.

L30:
A large number of weapons and suits of armor are stored here—the gear seems to have been rifled through but not thoroughly searched. This chamber has been left largely unmolested as the weapons are not sized correctly for spriggans. Hanging from racks and packed in chests are 12 suits of padded armor, a masterwork breastplate, seven light wooden shields, 20 spears, three short swords, two handaxes, a shortbow, two longbows, four light crossbows, 2 heavy crossbows, a +1 morningstar, 200 arrows, and 220 crossbow bolts.

Sophiel doesn't have any idea what's going on, but she follows Chrysa for a while, grabbing onto her friend's shoulder. She pets the leopard on the way past, whispering, "good kitty" Half a minute later, the leopard poofs from the material plane, but by then, they've moved on. Sophiel keeps her wing's folded behind her, and just walks along. She sniffs the air as they travel, but says nothing, otherwise.

In the armory he takes up the morningstar and gives an experimental swing or two. "Not bad. I might hang onto this." He says with a smile. That expression looks unintentionally creepy as there's still blood on his teeth...

The group makes it’s way upstairs.

This chamber is cluttered with the accoutrements of a kitchen, complete with a small fireplace and grill, as well as a larder for foodstuffs. Crates and boxes are stacked in the western portion, while the main area has been converted into a bedroom.

As you coalesce into the next room, you see yourself surrounded by two more spriggan, one of which is the size of a giant and wielding a club. They both take swings at you that miss. However, before you can react, they lash out again. The small one's halberd passes through you with no effect, but the big one's club slams into you, doing significant damage in the process!
