Shadow demon stepping out of sunlight.... its options?

Rules Questions

Hello everyone,

Say a shadow demon's square was suddenly exposed to sunlight.

Sunlight Powerlessness (Ex)

A shadow demon is utterly powerless in bright light or natural sunlight and flees from it. A shadow demon caught in such light cannot attack and can take only a single move or standard action.

Its options are few if it stays in that square, obviously.

Can it make a 5ft step out of the square into a non-exposed square, thereby no longer exposed to sunlight, resuming with full round actions?

Its action options are pretty clearly defined.
It can not attack, and can take only a single move or standard.

Whether it gets out of the sunlight during those allowed actions, is irrelevant... as that's what it is always going to be trying to do.

It still can't attack anything, much less full attack.

If it starts its turn in sunlight it is limited to not being able to attack and taking only a move or standard action that turn. Next turn, if it is out of the sunlight, it gets its full actions back.

It started in sunlight. It can move or standard. It cannot attack.

I would say it could 5' step and do something in a standard that is not movement or an attack.
