question about Flash and shock with blunderbuss

So my question is very simple. With flash and shock, a deed from the Gulch gunner archetype for gunslingers. you can get a bonus to AC against the target you hit. Now with a blunderbuss you can hit multiple targets at once using pellets. My question is if you can use pellets to hit multiple targets, can you use Flash and shock you gain bonus AC against all the targets you hit?

Looks like you could, but it would cost 1 grit per opponent you want tbe bonus against.

Edit: on further looking, no. This deed works within your first range increment, you do not have range increments when using pellets.

Isn't it that you 'only' have a first range increment with a scatter weapon? Or am I mixing in Starfinder...
