| The First Vampire |
My table is currently playing the old Expedition to Castle Ravenloft 3.5 campaign using Pathfinder pcs and rules. The party has come across a scroll of Destruction and are considering using it on Count Strahd or one of his vampire cohorts. Does Destruction work against vampires? I am leaning towards it does as I have seen nothing that says it doesn't. Thought I would get some ideas from other game masters. Thanks!

I don't think it would work. The spell is a necromancy [death] spell that requires a fort save. Undead are immune to death effects and effects that require fort saves.
An undead creature possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature’s entry)
...
*Immunity to death effects, disease, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning.
...
*Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects or is harmless).
