Poisoned weapons

Rules Questions

Does anyone know how long poison on a weapon or arrow/bolt/etc remains fresh before it wears off, if it isn't used in combat?

Forever:

Wow!

Thanks, Decimus.

Oh btw poison harvested from slain creatures, hazards or milked from living creatures, animal companions, familiars, witches, Wild Shaped druids, polymorphed wizards etc. only last for 24 hrs (for slain creatures the countdown begins from when the creature dies) unless alchemically treated using Craft: Alchemy but without the gp cost usually involved in crafting poisons.

Where are the rules for harvesting poison from slain or living creatures?

I've never seen any rules for it.

Ultimate Wilderness I believe

EDIT: scroll down to harvesting poisons

also note.
the alchemist 'Sticky poison' discovery keep the poison on weapons for x strikes where x is the alchemist int bonus (saves a lot on poisons since normal poison cost is per dose. so multiplying the uses is like getting extra free doses)
