Hi,
I have a Visa gift card I would like to use to purchase a gift certificate; it is for exactly $20. But your site is charging sales tax for gift certificates (I assume this is due to me being a resident of Washington state). I sent an e-mail to customer service last month about this, and last week I received a response from Diego that the tech team would fix this. I was hoping to use this certificate (along with some other gift certificates I have) to place an order and (hopefully) have it delivered before my vacation -- which is next week.
I sent the original e-mail on May 28th (which seemed like plenty of time back then). I know it can take a while to resolve technical issues, but in the meantime is it possible to adjust my cart so that the gift certificate that I've added to it is not charging sales tax? It may be too late to get my order by this weekend at this point, but I'd still like to try.
Thanks,
Carl

Hello Carl,
I took a look at method which would temporarily resolve the issue for your order in the meantime, but there does not appear to be a way for me to work around this without the technical fix.
Unfortunately, we are still waiting for the fix for this issue to be applied to our system. We anticipate several fixes to be applied tomorrow, and I have confirmed with the tech team that the solution to this issue is among the fixes being applied. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding so far, and I hope you can wait a little bit longer for us to apply the necessary adjustments to prevent gift certificate purchases from being charged sales tax. Thank you!
