Ricochet toss and improvised weapons

Rules Questions

"When you make a ranged attack with an appropriate thrown weapon, the weapon returns to your hand immediately after the attack is resolved. This ability does not allow bullets, thrown ammunition such as darts
or shuriken, or thrown splash weapons to return to you.

Improvised thrown weapons don’t return to you unless you have the Throw Anything feat".

HOW can you get the pre-req Weapon Training class feature on improvised weapons though, or is this "waved for improvised weapons.

Don't know if this advice (if its possible) or rules (as it seems impossible I think there a rules issue here).

Weapon Training thrown weapons would apply, even to improvised throwing weapons would be the simplest answer.

Otherwise, you're correct that it wouldn't be possible.

Martial Focus (Thrown) combat feat will do this for you. It counts as the Weapon Training class feature for all weapons within the group selected and if you have Throw Anything then improvised weapons that you throw count as a Thrown Weapon.

That being said, if you choose to club someone over the head with the Jack Daniels bottle you just picked up instead of throwing it, you'd need a separate Martial Focus feat (Close weapons would likely fit best in this case) in order for Weapon Training to count for that attack.
