I've been pondering what to build with a Dhampir boon I've been sitting on for a while. I've decided that I want him to be a necromancer specializing in animating and commanding undead, with the ability to do some debuffing on the side. I want to be more casting focused, and avoid melee. So far I have whittled my options down to a Cleric (probably Urgathoa for flavor) or the Dhampir racial wizard archetype of Cruoromancer.
Both have their pros and cons. Which do you think will be better/more capable in the long run?

I have a 10th Level Dhampir Thassilonian Necromancer/Cruoromancer that is casting focused and animates/controls. I maxed his Int and Cha, dumped Str and Wis, and gave him a little Dex and Con.
His favored single damage spell is Boneshatter, cranked up to I believe CL 15 currently.
With a high Charisma I took traits to be social so he could contribute out of combat. He's one of my favorite characters ^_^

I was actually thinking of doing this exact same thing! A couple questions, though:
1. Do you find that you come across enough Intelligent undead to make the high charisma worth it?
2. How has your Will save fared since you dumped Wisdom?

His biggest weakness is saving throws. I'm fine having a weakness. I just try to play smart with party formation.
Although maybe only half of his scenarios involved undead, he has often controlled undead that provided key background information or tactical information that really just isn't acquirable any other way.
He also picked up a wand of CL 3 magic missile that helped at low level. With Thassilonian Specialist my bonus slots go to Blindness/Deafness, Boneshatter and Animate Dead, so he still has decent utility even when undead aren't around.
I took feats to increase his Channel DC.
