Cannot launch discussions from PaizoCon events

Last year, I started multiple discussions on PaizoCon events, in order to help plan the characters everyone was bringing to my table. I found it fairly helpful, and it helped get some of the groups excited in advance.

This year... I can't do it! It will let me compose a message, but then it won't save that message, no matter how many times I submit it. I'm suspecting that others are having the same issue, in part because I've seen no discussions directly tied to a PaizoCon event. How am I to start up a discussion about Erik Keith's awesome lottery event without emailing the GM directly?

It does not work on a desktop in IE. It does not work on an iPad in Safari or Chrome.

It does not work on a boat
It does not work with a goat
It does not work in the rain or on a train or in the dark or in a tree...

Who has actually not tried it with a boat, goat, nor in any of those other trying conditions, but did have a furry feline supervising her other attempts.

Unfortunately, we were not able to implement a fix for this feature before PaizoCon 2018. However, we did notice that this problem was not an isolated issue, and have a more broad fix slated in our development queue.
