Gift of Consumption + Split Hex = Twincast?

Rules Questions

If a Witch has Gift of Consumption, Greater Gift of Consumption, and Split Hex, can they do the following:

1. Target themselves with a Fortitude save spell, such as Blindness/Deafness
2. Choose to fail the Fort save
3. As an immediate action, redirect the save to an enemy target within 30ft
4. Via Split Hex, target another creature within 30ft of the first target, forcing them to also save vs the effect

From what I can tell, this would accomplish multiple things. First of all, it's a way to essentially "twincast" certain spells by turning their effects into the Gift of Consumption Hex. Second, it's a way to circumvent a creature's SR by turning a spell's effect into a (Su) ability. Third, it's a way to add a 30ft range onto touch range Fort save spells.

Is there something I'm missing, or does this all work? Is it even possible to use Split Hex with Gift of Consumption, or am I reading it wrong? Even if you can't split the effect, can you still use Gift of Consumption to get around SR/Touch range for Fort save spells?

I offer no opinion to pfs legality, but yeah, this is why I've been saying this is a [broken] power, especially in conjunction with greater consumption.

they say cholesterol is poison.. my witch eat and let the party dwarf go fat... ;)
