So my question is would the cartomancer witch archtype applied to the wizard be in any way OP, broken, etc.
You would obviously have to pick the familiar and was thinking of pitching losing scribe scroll or the 5th lvl bonus for deadly dealer which would still be gained at 2nd, at least for this inital idea. EDIT: Also leaning heavily on the idea of making universalist mandatory, but this is my first straight up wizard. Not sure if that would increase or decrease OP-ness.
This is just to gauge the community before bringing it to the DM. Our group is pretty flexible and we tend to use the general consenus when making obscure or interesting rulings, but I wanted to put some feelers out before asking them.
Thoughts?
The wizard does have better touch spells than the witch. Universalist is a step down in power from any of the specialists, so adding that would help even it out.
