Hi. Sooo... I'm doing this.
First off, putting this in nice big words.
THIS IS A SOCIETY PLAY CHARACTER.
That done, I'm swapping my Solarian to a Star Knight Archetype through a mnemonic editter I just bought today and wanted to see if I could get some advice here. I'm fine with being an Android. I'm also fine going heavy armor, etc. However, I am questioning myself on two things.
#1 is stat build. He's currently level 2, so basic point buy spread.
#2 is if I should swap the Icon theme to the Dragonblooded or Tempered Pilgrim.
In regards to the first one, here's the basic scores before I apply any ability buying to work with this.
Str: 10
Dex: 12
Con: 10
Int: 12
Wis: 10
Cha: 9
My fellow players on the forums did not steer me wrong before, I'm hoping they won't now and have ideas running around in regards to this sort of character.
The benefit for me is basically that I'm making a pretty good tankish type. I like it, and I sacrifice a few abilities (the revelations) but I think I can benefit from it.
So, what are the opinions of you fellows on the forums? Should I stick to the Icon or would Dragonblooded or Tempered Pilgrim be more beneficial to me?
What sort of stat spread advice do you have?
Hope to hear back on this. Thanks!

Well, any straight Solarian is going to want a minimum of 14 Charisma, so they have at least 3 resolve. Which is unfortunately low for a character intending to take hits for the team.
Star Knight gives you heavy armor proficiency, which means you're going to be a Solar Weapon solarian. This also determines the maximum Dex you want. At most 14 Dex at levels 1-5, at most 16 Dex at levels 6-10, and at most 18 Dex levels 11-12 (presuming SFS ends around 12).
You can buy +2 Dex personal upgrade starting at 3rd if you want to primary as a tank, then buy a +4 Strength personal upgrade at 7th to boost damage output.
So I'd go Str 14/Dex 12/Con 10/Int 12/Wis 10/ Cha 14, with the last 1 point anywhere you want. Do +2 Str/ +2 Dex/ +2 Con/ +2 Cha at 5 and 10.
With low strength, I'd grab Weapon Focus: Advanced Melee at 1st level.
Given your 4th level Star Knight ability is intimidate/demoralize based, I think Dragonblooded is probably the better theme fit, as at 6th level it'll extend it by 1 turn.
Grab Skill Focus Intimidate at 3rd. As you'll be using this in combat, Sidereal influence is useless for Intimidate. Use Sidereal influence on Diplomacy or something.
At 5th, Enhanced Resistance is probably your best bet for a tank. That or extra resolve. Perhaps one at 5th and the other at 7th. Saving throw feats after that.
For your 6th level ability, I'd probably go with Pike Mastery, as the only way I know of to give your Solar weapon reach. Alternatively, Summon creature can be good for tanking (more hit points).
The character is going to be a bit low on damage, low-ish on resolve, although effectively maximum-ish AC in heavy armor (Vesh Guard Soldiers are typically 2-3 points of AC higher). He's going to be slow without Stellar Rush at 2nd (and not sure its worth it as Challenge and Stellar Rush can't be used together).
