Wizard Synergy

Advice

Grand Lodge

I'm creating a 13th level wizard for a crimson throne campaign. First time I've ever created a wizard and there is TOO MUCH information to go through. I had a question about the synergy of the wizard with regards to some of his choices.

Synergy for the Wizard - My choices

Specialization School → Conjuration
Perfected Spell → Dmg spell From Evocation school
Arcane Schools → Divination/Foresight or Conjuration/Teleportation

For these 3 different choices should I be trying to get all 3 as conjuration for example? How important is this?

1 Separate Question:

What are peoples thoughts on Arcane Schools between Divination/Foresight vs Conjuration/Teleportation?

Many thanks

I'm not sure what you're asking with your first question. Perhaps try rephrasing it?

For you second question, both of them are regarded as very strong. If you're worried about being caught out of position and needing to vamoose, I'd go with teleportation. If you aren't, I'd go with foresight.

I'm asking that since I get bonuses for specializing in conjuration for example, would it be best to try to get my perfect spell as a conjuration spell and take an arcane school as conjuration as well. Or is it not a big deal to mix and match and not go all conjuration schools

Your speciality determines your arcane achool.

Specialization school == arcane school. The Spell Perfection feat is separate, as are feats like Spell Focus.

You certainly don't need to have your arcane school be the same as the school you spend feats on. There is a push from having at a minimum one spell slot per spell level (the school bonus) used to prepare spells from that school to spend more resources on spells from that school, but you can certainly ignore that push - especially if your arcane school is divination.
