Musket master, Pistolero or generic gunslinger?

Advice

Liberty's Edge

Which archetype is the best in general (for a low gun level world) for both in and out of combat? Either way I can get multiple attacks (Either by cylinder rifle or pepperbox pistol), though the rifle cannot use alchemical cartridges so that is a downside. Muskets also have longer touch attack ranges, can get a see invisibility sight, a far reaching sight and have an outright higher damage dice

However, the musket master also loses utility shot which takes away from out of combat use. Furthermore, the pistolero can smuggle their weapons a lot easier, making them better suited for potential stealth (Especially with oil of silence).

That's just what I'm able to gather from my own looking over with little-no experience. Any recommendations or better explanations/builds for either and where they excel?

There is little point to taking the 'generic' Gunslinger: The only thing it really offers is getting 'Dex to Dmg' with multiple types of firearms, but on a practical level, you really want to focus on one and accept its fairly minor drawbacks.

Before you make any decisions, you really need to check with your GM as to which firearms will actually be available. Cylinder Rifles, for example, are not PFS legal, which may cause your GM to ban them (beyond that, note the high misfire rate and special rules about damaging yourself which make this weapon rather questionable).

Also, Utility Shots generally aren't used much: They aren't very good, and what grit you have is best saved for clearing misfires. To be honest, I'm guessing most players forget they even have them.

Musket Masters basically make your basic Muskets useful by allowing you to actually get free action reloads that are essentially impossible otherwise. This give you a range advantage, but removes all dual-wielding options. Also, note that Muskets have a slightly higher misfire than pistols and Double barrel muskets have a really poor range.

Pistoleros use the generally more reliable but shorter ranged pistols. They also offer the possibility of Dual-Wielding, but getting a free hand for reloading tends to require a bit work. The 'Up Close and Deadly' deed isn't used as often as you would think (Grit pools typically aren't that big) but is nice if you just need 1 or 2 more damage to finish a target off.
On a personal note, I helped build a Pistolero for one of our campaigns, and Signature Deed with 'Twin Shot Knockdown' was kinda fun.
