Sovereign Court

Sorry if this has been asked before, but when it says that "Craft (Int)" is a Class Skill does that mean I can choose all 3 of the Craft slots on the skills register or do I just get one?

Same question for Perform and Profession.

Also, if a Bard gets 'Knowledge (all)' does that mean:

1) he's got access to all Knowledge Areas
2) he can put one rank in "Knowledge (all)" and gets a rank in ALL Knowledge Areas
3) something that I haven't thought of yet.

Thanks in advance!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Knowledge (all) is short form that all knowledge skills are class skills. Thus 1 rank gives the 3 class bonus to that particular knowledge, but you must still put ranks in them separately.

Craft as a class skill is any craft, and you can have more than one but each require their own ranks. For example, Craft (Alchemy) is a common choice, but they would not contribute to Craft (Armor). You would need to put ranks in them separately much like knowledge skills. Perform and profession is the same, they have sub-categories like knowledge. Example Profession (Merchant) vs Profession (Tailor), or Perform (Dance) vs Perform (Sing).

Now, Bardic Knowledge (Ex) is a unique feature, and thus as a specific thing beats out general. It adds to all knowledges as it is written, however this is not skill ranks (and thus does not get the +3 class skill bonus).

The character sheet lists Craft three times. You are not limited to three crafts. It is rare that a character actually uses that many, but it does happen. Same for perform and profession.
