Confused Pathfinder |

So last night was my first time, other people had told me about it. Some people said it was a big thing, others a small thing, some got angry at their first time and others get sad after their first time.
Of course I mean character death!
I was playing an Undead lord Cleric (NE with a slight sway towards LE).
Our ship is composed of:
-Monk
-Swashbuckler
-Druid
-Ranger
The rest of the ship sits on the neutral line with some chaos to boot.
Starting at 6th level, just before chapter three, my GM is open to pretty much anything 21 RP and under, first party only.
I'm stuck for what to play as I was really into this character, enjoyed being powerful and social.
Any suggestions would be really welcomed!
Thanks.

You have melee covered fairly well.
You have divine support also.
You lack arcane support.
This AP will go much better with arcane support.
Wizard, Sorcerer, and Witch are full casters, and can do quite well. The witch's hexes generally need to be within 30', and on a ship it is hard to get further than 30' away. All have archetypes that lend flavor.
The Bard, as a partial caster, can be both face and arcane support. Haste and inspiration are great for battle, while the social skills will help with gaining infamy. They also have archetypes to adjust style.
Arcane casters can make good undead masters if you plan for it.
You can also try to convince the party to get you raised. There are potent clerics and druids about that can reincarnate or raise you.
While arcane caster may not be your cup of tea, there are quite a number of ways to play it from melee to healer to controller and beyond. No matter which way, having arcane spells open to you will help with a lot of things in this AP. If you have a limited list, then pages of spell knowledge is your friend, as is a spellbook and a ring of spell knowledge.
Alchemists can also work, as can psychic, but I am less familiar with their options, and am not as sure they can fill the arcane roll as well.
No matter what, pick something fun to play. So what if you die again. If you had fun, then it will be worth it.

You have a good party. Druids are a force of nature (clap) in this AP. You dont really need 2 casters in the Shackles- the nature of having a ship full of people at least as greedy as you are is that you can recruit what you want.
Perhaps get someone to invest a bit into Use Magic Device and carry a few of those utility scrolls and you're good.
The Shackles will creep behind you and want to chomp on you, and your party is very prepared for that. To echo Cevah, a bard would seal this deal, truly a force multiplyer. The knowledge checks are also great in this AP with so much backdrop.
I reccomend a Skald though, less spell stuff but more warband/crew like. And some scrolls for good measure.
