Shrink item simple question

Rules Questions

Hello everybody!

Sorry for my English, ahead of time.
I have a question about "Shrink Item" volume progression, here are the details:
spell tells us: object of up to 2 cu. ft./level.

so, for example, on lvl 5 - do I get 10 cu. ft. (10 height, 10 width 10 long) or do I get 5 * 2 cu. ft. (2 height 2 width 10 long)?

I am not sure if my question is clear as it is now, so i try to make a more obvious example.
Lets say, there is a AoE spell with Area progression 5 ft square / lvl.
so on lvl 5 I will get:
area 1:
5 10 15 20 25
5 x x x x x
10 x x x x x
15 x x x x x
20 x x x x x
25 x x x x x
or
area 2:
5 10 15 20 25
5 x x x x x

?

At level 5 you get to target an object of up to 5x2=10 cubic feet in volume. That might be a bar 10' long, 1' high and 1' wide, or a 10' by 10' carpet no more than 1/10 of a foot thick, or a cube slightly over 2' on each side. Or various other ways of making 10 cubic feet or less.

avr has it. The volume increases linearly, not cubically.

Liberty's Edge

For Shrink item it is not an area of effect, it is a target.
"Target one touched object of up to 2 cu. ft./level"

So it is "a touched object of up 2 cubic feet per level".

For a progression like the one you mention you need a text like that of Control water:
"Area water in a volume of 10 ft./level by 10 ft./level by 2 ft./level (S)"
where you multiply each dimension by your level.

Thank you guys it clarify my misunderstanding.
