Building a Melee Saurian Shaman (my first PFS build)

I plan on going to my first PFS event tomorrow and want to make sure that my character will be legal and useful to random parties. I would appreciate any feedback or advice.

Animal Archive (for animal tricks)

Feats: Toughness, Heavy Armor Proficiency

Wooden Cudgel
Sling
Some sort of heavy armor

I think it looks pretty good.

The only concern I have for you is with your armor and the feat for it. Your armor doesn't work if you're planning on wildshaping without having an expensive wild property on it or putting it on afterwards. Just be sure you're okay working around it.


I won't be able to wild-shape until level 6 due to the archetype. I'm okay to work around it then as it seems like my other costs will likely focus on barding for my companion and amulets of mighty fist for my character and companion.

What armor am I eligible to start with though?

Also, I'm looking at Dirty Fighter for my other trait as I should be constantly flanking thanks to my animal companion.
