Path of Glory Question

Is the following legal for a cast of Path of Glory?

Round 1: Circles.

Round 2: Squares.

Round 3: Crossed arrows (X's).

Nope. One of the squares is not adjacent to a circle. Similarly, one of the crossed arrow pairs is not adjacent to either a square or a circle.

Hmm. So...

"Starting on your next turn, as a swift action you can extend the glowing area by an additional four 5-foot squares; each new square must be adjacent to a square that was previously glowing."

...you're reading "previously glowing" as meaning glowing in the previous round rather than previously glowing, period, as you expand the squares?

That's how I read it, anyway--the squares appear simultaneously on each round, so "previously glowing" must refer to the previous round(s).
