Question: Remove Condition Spell (especially lesser)

Rules Questions

The remove condition spell allows you to remove a defined list of conditions. It does not allow you to remove afflictions. It specifies that if the condition is the result of a disease or other ongoing effect, this spell removes the condition but does not cure the disease or ongoing effect and the target can regain teh condition from that effect as normal, potentially immediately.

My question, which may have a simple answer or consensus, is this:

If you suppress the sickened from the Physical Disease track, does the target regain the sickened condition immediately or when they're due for their next saving throw and move up the disease track?

It doesn't say. My thoughts though would be that an actual magic spell should at least be as good as pepto bismol or excedrin, and should suppress the sickened condition for 1 day or until the next saving throw, whichever is less.

I've looking into this because my party is currently suffering from a disease that inflicts conditions.

I don't think the remove condition spell works. In the afflictions section on pg. 414 it says: "Some afflictions cause the same effects as a condition (such as sickened; see page 277). Effects that modify, prevent, or remove those conditions do not apply; only effects and immunities against the appropriate affliction apply."

To answer the question, IMHO: the target regains the sickened condition immediately.

So sorry to Necro, but this post comes up on google searches related to this. While there is not an errata specifically for this, there is an errata for Afflictions that seems to apply:

On the Official FAQ: https://paizo.com/starfinder/faq/

Under Starfinder Core Rulebook Errata (1st and 2nd Printing)

Page 414: In Afflictions, remove the fifth paragraph and add the following text after the second sentence of the third paragraph.

Quote:
On a failed saving throw, if the victim was affected by a condition as a result of the affliction and that condition was removed (such as by remove condition), the victim regains any conditions from earlier steps along the affliction’s progression track (as well as conditions from the current step).

This seems to imply, that the condition is removed by remove condition, and is regained on the next failed saving throw. (Along with any additional conditions from the new step)

During the biohacker playtest starfinder thursday? twitch I asked owen K stevens how the whole remove condition but not the cause thing was supposed to work, and it was in fact till you fail your next saving throw.

Dig dig dig dig

I don't know how to link a video to a time on twitch

Thank you, I have always interpreted it to last until your next save is due (so a day typically for illnesses), but I am happy to see it written clearly
