Card Guild Guide v5: MM Estra and Honaire in the OA1 class deck

Pathfinder Adventure Card Society

Page 7 of the PFSACGG v5 states this:
"If the back of your character lists a specific card, that card must be in your Class Deck box."

MM Estra lists the Loot ally Honaire. But is that specifically MM Honaire or does CD Honaire count as "that card"? Or could both count? (Both Honaires work best with their respective Estras so it shouldn't come up often, but it probably will.)

This is specifically when you use Estra in OA1. It's unclear whether or not you can put MM Honaire in at all since the only things the rules tell you you can explicitly put in are the character card.

Also, the page numbers are very hard to see by the way, I understand the compass layout for the page looks cool, but not at the expense of readability.

I think that the best clarification would be to add "Loot" to the cohort bullet from the same page.

That rule says what it needs to say—a cohort is a cohort, even if it's also loot. And it applies to non-loot cohorts too.

So you can have either version of Honaire in your Class Deck box—but since the rule says "replace," it's one or the other, not both.

MM Honaire isn't a cohort. He's Loot/Ally. That is the problem that zeroth_hour references.

Vic's answer suggests we should treat Honaire like we do cohorts.

In which case, CD Estra could use MM Honaire if she so desired.

I did forget that. As currently written, if you put MM Estra in your OA1 Deck, you have to use OA1 Honaire. But let me get back to you on whether that's what we want.

We will change that rule to "If the back of your character card names a card such as a cohort, you may replace that card with any other card that has the same name and type."
