Pathfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Hello!
Me and my group are still fairly new to Pathfinder, and this is our first adventure with a ranger. Our ranger just hit 4th level, and as such has gained zero 1st level spells/day. Can someone please clarify what the zero means? Is that for a character who multiclasses into ranger? Can he do anything with it now as a level 4 ranger?

You get bonus spells of levels you can cast if your casting Stat is high enough. So if his wisdom is high enough he adds 1 to that and would get 1 first level spell per day.
