What woud make this a good build? Probably nothing. There's already an unarmed monk like magus archetype, the esoteric.
Maybe i could see a single level of magus so you could spell combat into shield/mage armor/true strike. MAYBE a second level for the hilarity of three occasional spellstrike. But again, go esoteric.

I've been thinking of making a monk magus using two weapon fighting, by using blade bound/kensai magus, and having your offhand weapon be your unarmed. I'm not going for the ultimate optimization but rather a unique blend/flavor. What would make this a good build?
While you use spell combat, you can only attack with the light or one-handed weapon you wield in the hand that you're not casting with.
This means no unarmed attacks worked into the routine, not even if they're not using the hand you cast with.
It don't work.

Additional attacks are prohibited from additional sources when using Spell combat, the few exceptions breaking this are listed.
Flurry of blows have the same rule, listing iteratives, it's own ability and haste as only viable ways to further boost how many attacks you may make.
(The caps is only there to clarify since bold failed to work within the quote)
He takes no penalty for using multiple weapons when making a flurry of blows, but HE DOES NOT GAIN ANY ADDITIONAL ATTACKS BEYOND WHAT'S ALREADY GRANTED BY THE FLURRY for doing so. (He can still gain additional attacks from a high base attack bonus, from this ability, and from haste and similar effects).
At 11th level, a monk can make an additional attack at his highest base attack bonus whenever he makes a flurry of blows. This stacks with the first attack from this ability and additional attacks from haste and similar effects.
