Lend Power (Mythic Marshal path ability)

When a marshal uses the Lend Power path ability to grant his surge to a mythic ally, can that ally use their own surge ability on the same check?

I don't think there's anything in the text to say they can't. But your GM may not agree. Many of the abilities in Mythic Adventures are poorly described.
