I'm looking at this archetype, and I'm confused about a couple of points....
Does the domain ability you gain replace the lesser ability of the Spirit you channel ?
Or is it in addition to ?
Or is it completely replacing all the granted spirit abilities ? (can't imagine that's the case as that's a really bad trade)....
Can anyone provide some clarification on how this works ?
Never mind....I have read this over and over, and can't interpret it any other way than you add the domain ability and spells to whatever you gain from the spirit you summon. It say's it "alters" spirit....but does not call out replacing....

The only part I don’t like is it crippled the Marshal. You can’t use your spirit surge on allies, and I think it’s pretty clear that definition of “ally” is supposed to carry over to the later ones, as well.
