Sniping with sniper weapon rules question

Can I use the sniper weapon feature to get long range shots together with the Sniping ability described under the Stealth skill on page 148 of the CoreRuleBook?

Yes you can, provided you can reenter concealment or cover. Having spent a move action to aim and an action to fire, you would be hard pressed to do so however.

Also, since there are no range penalties to Perception checks in Starfinder, unlike in Pathfinder, you're as easy to spot when sniping from 10 feet away as you are while sniping from 1000 feet away.

Why would you even need to move? You don't need to leave cover or concealment to take a sniper shot, at least if you picked an even adequately decent sniping position.

Presumably because firing a shot reveals you otherwise.

It may reveal your presence, but it doesn't change your status of "behind cover/concealment".
