Liberty's Edge

Since our group (just 2nd level) has no mystic, I decided to play one, but I also need to be a useful member of the starship crew. No "Dammit, Jim, I'm a doctor, not a ______!"

So, here's what I'm thinking. Thoughts?

RACE: Human
CLASS: Mystic (2)
THEME: Ace Pilot
CONNECTION: Mindbreaker

-STR: 10
-DEX: 15
-CON: 12
-INT: 10
-WIS: 16
-CHA: 10

FEATS:
-Skill synergy (Piloting, Engineering)
-Longarm Proficiency

SKILLS (ranks/net)
-Culture: 1/+4
-Engineering: 2/+5
-Intimidate: 1/+5
-Life Science: 1/+4
-Medicine: 1/+4
-Mysticism: 2/+8
-Perception: 1/+7
-Piloting: 2/+9
-Sense Motive: 2/+8
-Survival: 3/+7

Level 0:
Detect Magic
Psychokinetic Hand
Stabilize
Telekinetic Projectile
Daze

Level 1:
Mind Thrust 1 (2d10)
Reflecting Armor
Mystic Cure 1
Wisp Ally

You can't have 3 ranks in survival being second level. Also, why not go 16/16 with Dex and Wisdom? That would benefit your concept more than Dex 15. While Con is nice, it isn't as mandatory as it was in Pathfinder, but Dex is, especially for range characters. Otherwise, spells look pretty good.

Survival rank was a typo. Should be 1 rank (+3 WIS, +3 class skill). I thin you're right about DEX/CON, especially since "negative CON" is no longer a factor in death.

Have you checked what other people in your group have for skills?

You didn’t state what classes or Star Ship crew positions were already filled. When trying to fill in gaps for a group, it is very useful to know what skills are already covered.
