Backstory Help

So I we are doing Giantslayer with a random race, class, archetype,special item, and feat.I got a Ghoran Blight Druid with Shade of the Woodlands and a necklace that looks like a time turner from Harry Potter. So I was thinking that this ghoran survived since the creation of their race and lusts for knowledge. But everything else is giving me writers block. What are some suggestions of what the backstory could be

Maybe he desires to recreate his own race - or create a similar one. Being a Blight Druid means he's quite at home in the sort of devastated lands that are the ancestral home of his species.
