Are you still able to cast the standard bardic performance, instead of battle dance? Like instead of me starting the battle dance, can I inspire courage with my lute for the party?

Not written in the rules, so that's a question for your DM.

Personaly, I'll vote "no". Archetypes are meant to provide alternative bonus, and not extra bonuses.

So yes, but no. Not with the lute, but with a war dance (cool). You can inspire courage, but you only inspire yourself.
