Assault on Absalom Special in Russia

Hi there
We have scheduled a multicity event in Russia and Belarus to occur this Sunday, Dec 17th to play new special Assault on Absalom. We plan to have 15 tables here in Moscow plus video connection to St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar and Minsk who will be joining online.
We have lots of people planning to visit this event.

The problem is that NONE of the GMs have received the scenario so far. The request for support has been submitted long enough (month ago) for this to be proceeded. The special scenario is not available for purchase yet on paizo.com so GMs have no access to it at all.

So the question is - is it ever planned to provide the GMs with this scenario? Or is it expected that GMs who all have their work and personal life will be able to prepare in 1-2 days for the event? Please bear in mind that we are not native English speakers and we do require additional time to prepare.

Even perfect English speaker (wich I am not) needs to prepare rules (monster abilities, spells, special combat\skillcheck rules) for couple dozens encounters, monster and NPC and map pictures find\edit\prepare for print\cut\scotch - and it also takes a lot of time.

And as have been said by topicstarter: we have jobs-families-sleep to attend in coming 62 hours left to the event!

It is really ridiculous situation. About 50 tables will be charged by GMs who now have no scenarios in their downloads. Moreover, 9-00 can not be even bought.

What is a purpose to ask for support month before if it is stil doesn't work. Is it only Russian problem, or it is global?

We realy need some help on our event. Its a first time we got nothing when we got just one day for preparing left.

Following the successful crowd-funding campaigns for the Corebook and the Bestiary printings in Russian, an interest for Pathfinder is currently on an all-times high. Would be a shame to provide a sub-optimal performance for an influx of both newbies and the veteran players who've been participating in PFS activities for years, given that the special itself has been so highly advertised.

These delays in support can turn into a big problem for GM novices, because the lack of time generates uncertainty. A lot of stress repels GMing, and also puts under the risk of failure, which will lead to bad impressions and will repel newcomers.

I am one of Russian GM who want to prepare compleatly to this Special. In my free downtime - I prepare that scenarios which I want to run.

So, you know, its very difficult to prepare even 30 pages simple scenarios - as my friends write it aboe we not native English speakers. I dont know how many work (hours of translete, then understanding, then formatting the text and handouts) I need to translete Special text for me and my friends. I think it is a lot of work.

And it very nice to prepare some RP staff about special. But simply we cannot prepare it just because dont know what to prepare.

So I really hight appreciate if we can get to fix our problem ASAP.

And maybe it not necessary any problem but my, but I have to get some vacation to spend all my time for work with special. And I cant do it with any success. Just because this is SPECIAL. That one which so epic and must intresting.

I'm a Krasnodar coordinator and I don't know what I will say to all of my GMs and players. We have nothing to show and it's a big shame.

Krasnodar Venture Agent here. Yes. This is a real shame. The Quality of content requires so much tme to prepare it good for players and for GMs. Can we get a reply?

That's definitely a tough Special to run on a short prep period.

If you have not already reached out to Auke, y'all's RVC, please make sure that you do that ASAP.

Also, check to see if your VC has a copy of the special - worst case, your VC can print some physical copies and meet up with the GMs in person to help them prep ahead of time.

Hopefully you guys will get sorted out quickly.

Something seems to have gone wrong, as scenarios should be sent in within 5 working days. I’ll try to find out what went wrong!

In the mean time, please go to pfsprep.com. There should be stats for all the tiers there!

We started working with pfsprep as soon as we got information about the name. Thanks to the TPKon 4 event, there are 2-3 GMs receiving support.

Glad to see that Auke was able to find the problem! I know it'll be tough to prep it in just 1-2 days, but I hope you'll manage to run it smoothly, and the players will enjoy it!

Despite the difficulties in getting the scenario, I'm pretty stoked that there are so many Russians interested in PFS. :) I hope I'll get a chance to go to a Russian Pathfinder convention sometime in the future.

we accidentally can prepare for special with help of gmprep, but with distant Russian commumity such as my Kaliningrad (wich don't even have boarders with other Russia), we slill can't run it without official scenario, anyway thx for disire for help
