Uderphan vision?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

How do they see? In every piece of art their eyes are covered. Do they have extrasensory abilities?

I've never heard of an uderphan and can't find them on d20pfsrd or Archives of Nethys, nor in Ultimate Wilderness. What sourcebook are they from?

@Fuzzy-Wuzzy: Urdefhan from Bestiary 2.

Art is not mechanics. It ultimately means nothing. Urdefhan have both normal vision and 120' darkvision.

Thanks, Joana!

I don't see anything in the entry that would indicate ESP, nor any need for a blindfold. They aren't even light-sensitive. The art isn't online, but it sounds like the artist was imposing a personal, inaccurate vision.

Pretty sure it's not just one artist's vision, since it's a fairly common depiction.

There are art pieces without veils or blindfolds, with lidless red eyes. Though according to Darklands Revisited, they actually aren't blinded when wearing blindfolds. They have an eye in the back of their mouth that they see out of, and actually prefer this eye, as they believe they see better out of their mouth-eye than their other ones.
