So, we know the Starfinder Iconics, and while they are pretty good, I have a question. What other combos could we have had?
So the rules are simple: post a list of your ideas for the Iconics if you had been in charge of that part of the development process. Same rules as PAIZO used: don’t re use any race or theme (and only the core 7 races, no legacy or alien archive) Just list a race, theme, and 1~2 sentance general description of the character’s personality/backstory. Let’s see how many cool character concepts we can come up with!
Here are the ones I came up with:
Male Shirrin Soldier (Spacefarer)
-A grim Shirrin. He was a colony planner and until the latest colony he was planning was destroyed by the swarm. He spent six months in a ground war fighting back before abandoning the planet, and now is looking to make sure the swarm doesn’t hurt any other colonies.
Female Korasha Lashunta Solarian (Scholar)
-Her family were diplomatic envoys from castrovel sent to the Idari, so she grew up in Kasatha culture, eventually becoming fascinated by the exact mechanisms of how the cycle works. She views he studies into the Solarian disciplines as half mysticism, half science.
Dual-gendered Android Technomancer (Priest)
A devotee of Triune, this Android found himself reset in space around a drift beacon, and that experience has always been very powerful for him. He has learned that his previous incarnation could not feel faith, and so sought to give his next incarnation that opportunity.
Female Kasatha Mystic (Ace Pilot, Star Shaman)
This unusually chipper Kasatha is the protogee of a well respected shaman of the cycle. She has recently been given a final mission before she can graduate, discover the meaning behind the ‘scar’ in space caused by the scouered stars. While she is a member of the clergy of the cycle, her true passion is actually being out, among the stars.
Male Ysoki Operative (Bounty Hunter)
This unusually gruff Ysoki used to be a member of the Stewards. He operated as an undercover cop, but when an op went bad, the commander decided to make him the scapegoat. Disgusted, he quit and now operates as a private detective, trying to find out what happened to his team.
Male Human Mechanic (Outlaw)
Ol’ Coot is just a good ol’ boy trying to get by on Akiton. Not formally educated, he’s friendly, and usually willing to help. Sure, not all of his modifications are ‘legal,’ and his clientele may sometimes have questionable funding, but that’s just how things go on Akiton.
Female Vesk Envoy (Xenoseeker)
While not everyone equates Vesk with diplomacy, now that the Veskarium has geeked up with the pact worlds, that has changed. Prom and proper, this envoy is part of an official Veskarium diplomatic initiative to strengthen pact-Veskarium relations.
Male Human Soldier (XenoSeeker)
Zapp Brannigan is the lead commander of DOOP, an intergalatic peace keeping organization. His mission like his previous commander, James Tiberious Kirk, to boldly go, where no man has gone before, and have sex with as many alien women as possible.
All the other Iconics are irrelevant or sent to fight the murderbots.
Honestly,I liked secondary pictures they showed us during the blogs quite a bit.

Then to wrap it up, do a ysoki operative and a Shirren technomancer, I guess. Could switch those. Not sure at the end there, also really like Raia as the Technomancer
