Does a lotus Geisha HAVE to play like a geisha?

Silver Crusade

Pretty much the title, Despite the class originating from minkai and just being very japanese in nature, does that mean a Lotus Geisha HAVE to RP like Like one? Or can it be...flexed? Like say one meets a lotus geisha and becomes their pupil but puts their own spin on it or...finds documents regarding the practice and learns their techniques?

Of course not, there's no RP police forcing you how to roleplay your character.

There's nothing in the archetype that says you mechanically have to roleplay like every other Geisha. Sure, it gives traditional realworld Geisha's as flavor text, but like most everything in the game, it can be reflavored into something similar (or even completely different), but still have an identical mechanical function.

Unless it's for PFS, which treats flavor text as RAW. In which case, you're kinda screwed.

The flavor text as raw must be the local intrepretation where you live.

I have a PFS lotus geisha who is a worships Kurgess and Sheyln and claims she was inspired in her dreams. She uses Oratory, Dance, and Precussion as her performances.

She has been played in three different cities, two of which I'm (or was) a regular player and both with large communities.

She is Golarion's first cheerleader.

Nobody, through eight levels has said a word.

And it has nothing to do with reskinning.
