So just found a magical item unique to the campaign we are playing, what are your thoughts on it. I am a Witch for the record, currently level 9. What would you do with it?
Staff of the Nefarious
This wicked staff is made completely of smooth black glass like material with red undertones coursing through its length. The head is shaped like a skull, broken in numerous places with garnets for eyes. This staff grants its wielder a number of boons.
This staff acts as a +1 quarterstaff.
At will the wielder can merge a familiar into the staff, storing them in stasis.
Putrid Bolt 3/day the wielder of this staff may as a standard action unleash a bolt of churning putrid energy at a target within 60ft. The wielder must make a ranged touch attack. On a successful hit, the bolt deals 1d4 acid and shadow damage to the target per level of the caster. The target must make a dc 14 will save or be sickened by the noxious energy for 1 round per level of the caster.
Cerebral Thwart 1/day the wielder of this staff may choose a target within line of sight and force them to make a will save, dc 10+1/2 the caster's level+ int mod or be charmed as per charm monster for 1 round/ level of the caster.
Cloying Miasma 1/day the wielder of this staff may absorb a disease or poison and store it within the staff. As a standard action, the wielder can then make a melee touch attack against a target. On a success, the target is subjected to the disease or toxin.
Horrid Hex 2/day the wielder of the staff may channel a hex through the staff, increasing its dc by +2.
Hard Logic 1/day the wielder of this staff may use their hard wits and knowledge of the world to persuade another. They may use their intellect instead of their charisma on a bluff or diplomacy check.

Sounds like a great way for condition removal and then sticking it to someone else.

PS: Can I get one?

"shadow" damage is not a thing that exists in the Pathfinder rules set. You might want to ask for clarification on that. Did the GM perhaps mean Profane or Negative Energy damage?
Besides that, it looks pretty evil. If your character isn't evil, check for curses or malevolent intelligences, and all that stuff before using it. It kinda seems like the kind of item a GM would use for a "corrupt the PC" subplot.

Interesting take. I think it's an item from 3.5 the campaign itself was originally 3.5 converted to Pathfinder. So things like Gauntlets of Ogre Strength exist.
