Help with curses

I was reading up on spells and found "cursed earth" and got thinking of a couple things about it but sadly i haven't realy used curses much hence the writing here.

Any help would be appreciated but my main questions are:

1. could cursed earth be used on say an arrow, ring or wagon. allowing for a mobile aura as its range is touch?

2. reading dispel magic and break curse they would have to get to or cover the effected point or item with the spell to break it?

3. cursed earth is a level 9 spell is there any other curses or curse like spells that are lower level or better to use?

4. what can i do to better protect my curses?

5. are there any build recommendations?

1. It says 'touched point', not 'touched object', so I would say no.

2. No, they would only need to be targeted anywhere the curse affects.

3. Depends on what you want to use the curse to do.

4. Up your Caster Level.

As far as the curses go im more just looking in general, but at the moment with my current line of thinking im looking at disabling one or two people like the captain of the watch or bandit king, but in the same thought if all their men are weakened then it would also make dealing with them easier.
