I have a player that's rolling a Kineticist for our upcoming game, and that opened up the question whether or not the Kineticist's attacks would apply to the "magic" section of the crit/fumble decks.
I tried doing some searching on the matter and found discussions about the Kineticists being able to crit with their blasts, but the discussions were framed around just being able to crit, period.
Initially I was working with the assumption that the line "All damage from a kinetic blast is treated as magic for the purpose of bypassing
damage reduction." plus the fact that they require an attack roll, meant that the blasts would apply for magic crit card effects. But I'm no longer sure. I'm leaning towards the key thing being the "physical" and "energy" parts of the blasts. Physical, no magic effects. Energy, magic effects.
The fumble cards magic effects I still would argue apply, since the blast is an (Sp) effect. But if anyone got a more definitive ruling on it I'd be glad to hear it.

Feels odd that the magical effects could occur from raw energy, nevermind that it is a big chance that you could get something that wouldn't fit, like doing extra acid damage with your fire blast for instance.
I would advice against using the crit fail cards though and ask your player if he's fine with taking 1 point of burn instead. It's less dangerous but more impactful in the long run.
