Adventures in Hell

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Does anybody know any good scenarios, modules or adventure paths that take place in hell? Something for higher level characters, preferably level 10 or higher?

This would be a big help for a game I am running.

Sure thing!

Name of Adventure:
Hells Rebels

Details of Spoiler:
Book 6 - Breaking the Bones of Hell. The last half of the adventure occurs there!

There is always the classic A Paladin in Hell (2nd Edition D&D). It is really easy enough to convert for Pathfinder (given that the majority of the creatures within are found in the Bestiary) and the description/layout of Hell has been, for the most part, rather consistent among many rpgs. The drawbacks to using this adventure (especially if you run games online, such as Roll20) is that you would likely have to make your own maps, since the maps in the adventure are not spoiler-free.

Thanks! Those are both good starting points.

A fantastic write-up regarding the famous cover-art. Well worth a few minutes.

Most of Green Ronin's Hell in Freeport takes place in a couple different circles of Hell. It was written for 10th-level D&D v.3.0 characters, but shouldn't be too hard to convert. Just be warned that some devils dramatically changed CR between v.3.0. and v.3.5/PF--and that one of those affected fiends appears in the very first encounter.

Sadly, Hell in Freeport doesn't appear to be available electronically anymore, due to the end of the 3E d20 License. But if you can find a copy, you may be interested in my unofficial errata page for it. I also have a very incomplete revisions page for it, which offers some suggestions for fixing for that first encounter.

That link does not seem to work as it takes you to the home page of the store blog.
