Alchemist - Magic Circle against Evil

Advice

I used alchemical allocation and downed a potion of magic circle against evil.

Part of the spell states - protection from evil: "the subject immediately receives another saving throw (if one was allowed to begin with) against any spells or effects that possess or exercise mental control over the creature (including enchantment [charm] effects and enchantment [compulsion] effects, such as charm person, command, and dominate person). This saving throw is made with a +2 morale bonus"

I had an ally in my 10 ft radius and a mental affecting spell that made the creature hit with it to just sit down and bow down to the enemy caster for a round or 2.

The DM didn't allow him to make another saving throw or get +2 on the roll, I didn't quite understand what he was saying.

Could someone clarify how this spell works with regards to my allies within 10 ft radius.

Thanks for any help

Sounds like your ally should have gotten an extra roll with +2, but in the end it's up to your DM so if he says it doesn't, it doesn't.
