I just placed an order (4519417) for a few pocket edition books and in my order history it’s in Pendng and looks like it may just need Monday to roll around in order to charge and start to ship... but I notice on my Subscriptions page that it implies that the order is actually being held until November for my next subscription push (since it just missed yesterday’s).
In the event it’s really the latter, could I get the order released as-is, and let November’s pawn box fend for itself? ;) (And in the future, is there a checkbox somewhere in the order process that I’d need to check to avoid the loooong auto-wait?)
Thanks,
-Jason

Hi lonejedi,
Thanks for letting us know! It looks like you submitted the order for the pocket editions after your subscription order was generated, so they were going to be shipping on their own. If you submit an order after the subscription has been generated, you should be able to add items to it by changing the shipping method to be combined with your subscription order.
If you submit an order to the sidecart before a subscription is generated, the available items should all be swept into the order to send out together.
In this case, I managed to catch the pocket editions order before it was sent out, and I've combined it with your subscriptions. I'll go ahead and send you an updated confirmation email for that in just a moment. Please feel free to take a look over it to verify that everything looks correct. If anything needs to be adjust or if you have any further questions, just let me know.
Thanks!
Katina

Thanks for the help! I see the combined order (Order 4481804) with my October sub (which wasn’t necessary, but I appreciate it), but it does look like the Gamemastery Guide pocket edition got changed from $19.99 to the $34-ish (Starfinder Supersubscriber) price of the Alien Archive :( (In fact, it looks like a whole bunch of prices got scrambled... maybe a net +$20, before shipping)

Hi lonejedi,
Thanks for letting us know about the scrambling. I have (somehow) unscrambled things and you should get an updated order confirmation email.
Thanks!

Should I get another authorization e-mail for this new “upgraded” order (I’m new to the Paizo pre-order system), or is the original one (or two) just going to be internally updated and reused?
Thanks, again!!

I definitely have a "unified" order now (subscription and non-sub mix) with a correctly-sorted prices and total. But the authorization on my card for the original non-sub order is the only auth I see pending on my bank statement (and when I look at the order here). Will that re-authorization occur as part of the shipping process (sorry, this is only my second sub shipment, and definitely the first I've accidentally made overly-complicated ;), or does it still need manual help to get authed so that the shipping department will fulfill it.
Thanks for all the great help! I think I've done all the crazy complicated order stuff now, so once I'm through this shipment I should be expert rank for future shipments ;)

Hello Lonejedi,
The older authorization you are seeing will disappear as soon as your bank releases it. We have not authorized the card on the new order number where everything has been merged. If you'd like I can do it. Otherwise we will authorize and finalize all at once when we ship the order.
Authorizations are not always opened when orders are placed. If the card has been authorized very recently (in this case day before yesterday) an authorization likely won't be opened. So if you only get your monthly orders you will see an authorization each month when the order is generated. But if you place an order that does not go into your sidecart the day before we generate the sub orders, your sub order will likely not be authorized.
The authorizations are mainly to make sure the card is valid and to let you know if there is an issue with the payment method so you have time to fix it before we try shipping the order.
So if you would like for me to authorize it so we can make sure everything is good I can do that, otherwise it will authorize and finalize when the order ships out. Let me know if you would like for me to do that.

I had misunderstood the pre-auths as being a necessary part of the ready-for-shipping process. Knowing now that this is not the case is all I need.
Thanks again for all the help, I can now go sit patiently and await my bounty :)
