Spell Resistance from templates and level increases

I'm in a game right now, it's high level, and the GM has allowed us to pay for/meaningfully exchange something for templates.

Several of us have templates that give spell resistance, as CR+11. We have been using level+11, since that's easier to calculate.

Then the issue arises of level increases. Like, for example, monsters that have racial SR (like specific types of demons, for example) don't have their spell resistance increase if they gain class levels. So my character, with the Fey template, shouldn't gain more SR as he levels, correct, because it's from racially being a Fey that it happens in the first place? Or should the SR increase, since PCs are based on levels rather than racial hit dice? Would it be the same for an undead template that grants SR, or different?

When it comes to determining what the CR is for a creature that has only class Hit Dice and no racial Hit Dice, the standard formula is:
* NPCs with NPC class levels (Commoner, Expert, etc.): CR = level-2
* Standard NPCs with PC class levels: CR = level-1
* PCs and NPCs with PC class levels and PC wealth: CR = level
When determining Spell Resistance from templates and other sources that scale with CR, these are the numbers that are normally used.

For your character, once the Fey Creature template is added your CR becomes Level+1 if you're level 9 or lower, or Level+2 if you're level 10 or higher. Going off of that, your Spell Resistance would end up being 12+level/13+level.

As a side note, adding class levels to a monster does in fact increase its CR, though how much the CR is affected depends on the creature's base CR, base stats, and what class levels you're giving it. Monsters with both racial HD and class levels show up so rarely that the issue of their SR doesn't usually come up.

if a pc has 11 class lvls and a +3 cr template a SR of 11+cr would give them 25 SR this goes up to 26 when they have 12 class levels and continues on as you lvl up
