Rune of the Eldritch Knight and Unarmed Attacks

Rules Questions

So I am interested in building a monk out of a Vesk soldier and I wanted to add Rune of the Eldritch Knight when he gets his second fighting style to simulate the monk DR overcoming ability. Is this viable in RAW? Specifically does an unarmed strike count as a weapon that can be targeted by this ability?

You'd need to be able to inscribe your magic sigil on your unarmed strike.
Not sure how that'd work (semi-permanent marker on your fists?)

As always, ask your GM, or for organised play, expect table variation

You can also fluff a Solarion's weapon to be more of a fist but not as any unarmed strike or a series of martial art moves.

But you GM may be fine with you doing so.

Also if you do go Sol your hand attack (or foot what ever you chose) damage goes up as you level.

By the book IIRC, at 1st level you can damage incorporeal creatures and at 5th you can add special abilities.
But I do not remember one that expressly allows you to bypass DR such as adamantine, etc.

Starfinder doesn't have Pathfinder's occasional ambiguity over whether unarmed strikes count as weapons. Now only weapons are weapons (even if they're fist-like weapons such as the pulse gauntlet), and unarmed strikes are not.

What are you talking about? Unarmed Strikes are listed on the simple weapons table. They count as weapons.

Therefore, I'd say that adding a Rune of the Eldritch Knight to your unarmed strikes is entirely possible. It's not like that would be overpowered.

Sorry, OP. I've clearly lost my mind.

Thanks guys
