Can't find how much sp players need to level up?

Hey I've been going through my copy of the Core rulebook and while I've found the xp award table, I can't find anything saying how much xp you need for each level?

Also I can't find anything to explain how I make npcs? I know there's supposed to be some easy way of doing it but I can't find it for the life of me. All I can find is the section on how to read statblocks?

NPC creation rules aren't really out yet, there's some basic rules for conversion of pathfinder bestiary characters though, on page 501

From what I gather npc building will be in alien archive.
