I found probably the biggest difference between Pathfinder and Starfinder: In the Starfinder, the 'dead' condition makes you unable to act!

A dead person doesn't move or do anything! Who knew? ;-)

HOWEVER, there isn't a rule that explicitly says they decompose, either! So surest way to evade your enemies is to DIE! HA! GOT 'EM, NOW! THEY CAN'T TOUCH ME!

(takes safety off of laser pistol) ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAP!

Also don't forget! The Death condition removes the Dying condition!

I think I'll go for a walk.

Sure, they may have defined that death makes you unable to act, but they also adopted 5th Edition's attitude toward death in that it's almost impossible to die other than through death effects, and if you do manage to die (from something other than a death effect), as long as your healer has a 4th level or higher spell slot left he can just bring you back to life next round with no consequence.
