Tinkering with Pirate builds, and an interesting question arose. If a Druid is missing a limb (perhaps because they have a hook hand or peg leg), does their wild shape include those missing limbs as if they weren't missing?
More specifically, I'm wondering if the penalties for peg legs or the lack of hand for a hook hand will carry over to the wild shaped form. It is notable that the peg legs are not armor, merely non-magical, slottless equipment.
Is there some sort of more general FAQ reguarding polymorph effects and missing limbs? I probably missed it, might be very obvious and even in the CRB.

Considering the fact you can take on forms that have different numbers of limbs than humanoids, I'm inclined to say you just take on the form without any missing limbs.
I don't think there is any official word on the matter.
I don't think there's anything official either, but I figured I should ask before assuming.

Hmm. Does alter self give you back your missing limb for the duration?

I usually allow it. My players rescued a maimed druid in one AP add-in, and once he was freed i allowed him to wild shape into forms to be mobile and be able to communicate for periods of the day.
To Blahpers, since alter self lets you grow wings, extra arms, or even try to copy a one armed fellow, i would allow it to do so for its duration.

Follow up.
Okay, could a Kitsune have a Human Form which required peg legs, but their natural form had fully functioning legs?
I'm still on this same character building kick. The challenge with the druid approach is that there's no wild shape until 4th level, so with the rather high penalties for double peg legs, I question if I can make it to 4th level to attempt the druid route.
Even with PFS's generous free character rebuilds for 1st level characters and the fast advancement track, that still leaves at least 6 sessions between 2nd level and 4th level where I need to survive with dual peg legs. I've run heavy armor characters in the past whom have similar impairments and it can be downright suicidal to downplay this sort of impairment.
The other big concern is that with dual peg legs, the penalities for doing so will stack with armorcheck penalties and the armor speed reduction (and the heavy load speed reduction), so character is very restricted in options to remain viable.
