Any reason my Spiritualist would be unable to wear heavy armor or use a tower shield?
Obviously, I'd be really crippled without the feats, but just double checking there isn't an actual rule that prevents the spiritualist from having a Phantom and lots of armor - the summoner has a rule like that, I think, which is why I'm asking.
Nope, go nuts. They even have a spell or two that work with it (revenant armor and spiritual squire at lease). The bonded manifestation is slightly less useful (namely the 13th level part) but you'll spend far more of your character's career below that level anyway.
