Thanks for your question! The first Starfinder Adventure Path book went into back order on 7/27, so any subscriptions started after that would begin with #2. You can find more details in this post by our Customer Service Manager here.

It looks like your subscription order was submitted on 8/15, so it would have already been on backorder by then. Just let me know if you'd like to be added to the list to receive #1 as soon as we receive more physical copies, and I can get that taken care of for you. If you do that, then you can purchase the PDF for it whenever you want and we'd be able to refund the purchase price for #1 back to your account in store credit as soon as the physical book ships.

This post by customer service manager, Sara Marie outlines an unusual process they have set up in this case. You do have the option of buying the PDF now and then getting a refund (by way of store credit) once your copy of AP#1 ships.
This isn't usually something they do but was an offer made due to the unexpectedly rapid sellout of AP1.

Does the PDF come with the physical book or do I have to but it?

I've taken a look into your account, and it seems like the copy of Starfinder Adventure Path #1 in your sidecart is ready to go. Our system didn't put it into its own order because it wants to wait for AP #2 next month. If you'd like, I can push #1 into it's own order to be sent out as soon as possible, and that should grant the PDF automatically to your account as soon as it ships.
