When I pre-ordered the Starfinder CRB and the PFACG Magus Class Deck in June, I opted in to pick it up at Gen Con. However, I just received an email that the order was shipped and charged me for the shipping. Strangely, it looks like my order number was changed as the shipment email says my order is #4332797 despite the order originally being #4008776.
I'm in a major bind as I bought tickets to play Starfinder at Gen Con and my pre-order did not come with a PDF.
Then why did I get the option to pick it up at the convention?

Redelia is correct. Only subscription items are available for GenCon pickup. There is bubble to put a dot in on the My Subscriptions page to opt in for GenCon. I am looking at the order and I see standard post as the shipping method selected when the order was submitted. The email confirmation you were sent at that time also reflects standard post.

I distinctly remember opting into the pick up and got a warning that if I didn't pick up the order at Gen Con, I would be charged the shipping. I thought that was why the shipping charge was on my order confirmation.
Well, this is beyond disappointing.
Edit: Is there any way for me to get the PDF before the con? I'm not sure if I'll have Internet access while I'm at Gen Con.
Free PDFs are a benefit for subscriptions only. Preordering doesn't give access to the Free PDF. It seems Paizo has been very generous and letting people retroactively subscribe. Perhaps, you could do the same.

I saw your post before you added the edit so I didn't see your request. Yes, as Hawkmoon269 mentioned, if you start a subscription we can flag your Core Rulebook as part of the subscription and you will have access to the PDF. Let us know when you have started the subscription and we can take care of the rest.
