I'm thinking about the Craft Poppet as the core concept of a character. Later, getting Craft Construct.
Poppets are cheap, and can be use as minions for battle or other things.
Question: What class would make a good fit around a poppet minion master? Divine, arcane, or psychic? Full caster or partial caster? Do I want a few at a time, or lots? Basic poppets or buffed with augmentations?
Later, when I get Craft Construct, what should I add to my minions?
[Both other constructs, and upgrading poppets with construct rules.]

An impossible bloodline sorcerer (or blood arcanist) can buff their minions with heroism and similar. Poppets have very poor stats and will probably need a lot of buffing, and normally can't get morale bonuses; inspire courage off a bard or evangelist cleric is a competence bonus though.
If a bard takes the Battle song of the people's revolt masterpiece they can share a teamwork feat, which the target doesn't need to meet the prereqs of. Either outflank or volley fire (using alchemical weapons which don't need proficiency) seems like a good idea. I'd suggest a lot of cheap poppets if you go with that.
Do I want a few strong poppets or many weak ones?
Should I use them in melee, or as scouts?
Ideas, anyone?

I am unclear as to what Craft Poppet gives you.
Must the Poppet stay on you hand or on strings?
Is it a Craft Constructs for Tiny Constructs?
The Feat dose not say you get the Craft Constructs Feat earlier than 5th...
Best I can come up with is you make a Poppet with...
Cloth (Ex, +1 CP)
Improved Attack (Ex, 1 CP)
Burn (Ex, 1 CP)
Which gives you a Poppet that has a Slam attack of 1D3 +1D6(Fire), that you move around with MAGE HAND.
EDIT:
Just found the Poppet monster entry... I get it now...
IMO - they're terrible at melee attacks and at perception, and not that good at stealth. This means that you use them as servants, decoys, or have them throw acid at enemies.
